Inference over MPP

Let your agent buy its own inference

Give your agent a wallet to pay for fast, low‑cost open models.

Get started

Set up your agent with one prompt

Paste this into Codex, Claude Code, Amp, or another coding agent:

Read https://boundless.network/mpp/SKILL.md and set up Boundless inference

Your agent installs Tempo and the client, then pauses for you to log in to your wallet and add a few dollars.

Why it matters

API keys were built for people, not agents

Today someone signs up, adds a card and shares one key across every agent. That breaks once agents spin up on demand or run in parallel.

How it works

From wallet to inference in three steps

  1. 01

    Give your agent a wallet

Add a few dollars to a Tempo wallet your agent can spend from.

  2. 02

Your agent pays as it calls

It sends each request to Boundless and pays for it from the wallet, without an account or API key.

  3. 03

You pay only for what runs

Each request costs only the tokens it used, and whatever is left over goes back to the wallet.

Why Boundless

Pay for exactly what runs, on fast, low-cost open models

  1. 01

    No account or API key

Your agent gets model access from its own wallet. There's nothing to sign up for and no key to leak or rotate.

  2. 02

    Billed in real time

Every request is charged for the tokens it actually used, at our API's prices. Agents can each pay from their own channel, so you see what each one spent.

  3. 03

    Fast, low-cost open models

The same models, gateway and prices as the Boundless API, from $0.04 per million input tokens.

Why MPP

Built on the payment standard co‑authored by Stripe

Any MPP client with a Tempo wallet can pay us, with nothing custom to integrate. We're the first inference provider on Tempo to accept it directly.

Models

Leading open models, one wallet away

16 open models over MPP, at the same per-token prices as our API.

FAQ

Questions before you start

What do I need to start?

A Tempo wallet with a few dollars in USDC.e, MACH or OUSD on Tempo mainnet, and an MPP client such as nanocode-mpp or the Tempo CLI.

Do I need a Boundless account or an API key?

No. Any wallet can open a session and pay from its own balance, so there's no account, card or key to manage. We screen each new wallet against sanctions lists the first time it opens one.

How am I charged?

Per request, in real time, from the channel your agent opens. Each request is charged for the tokens the model actually used, at the same per-token prices as our API, and failed requests are refunded.

What do I pay with?

USDC.e, MACH or OUSD on Tempo mainnet, each priced 1:1 with USD. A session opens in whichever token your wallet pays with. Real money moves, so keep deposits small.

What happens to funds I don't use?

When the session closes, the unspent deposit returns to your wallet. nanocode-mpp closes its session when it exits, so the rest comes back right away.

Can several agents share one wallet?

Yes. With nanocode-mpp, each agent running at the same time pays from its own channel, so they don't block each other and you can see what each one spent.

Which client can I use?

Any MPP client that supports Tempo sessions, including nanocode-mpp and the Tempo CLI's tempo request. Our setup guide has the commands.
